“I wish to compliment serviceman Peter and also salesman Rob…for prompt, efficient and courteous service as well as their great patience.

I had an emergency. My problem was a failing air conditioner on a Saturday afternoon when new renters were arriving Monday afternoon. I called Modern Service and the helpful lady promised a repairman before Sunday noon.

Peter arrived as promised and started working on what proved a puzzling AC problem. Peter was determined to (get) the AC working again. He was the model of patience and was great at explaining the various things he was trying. After trying a variety of things it became clear that while my air handler was OK, the outside unit was suffering “too many birthdays,” and while Peter got it going, it failed again after a few hours. Peter said nothing more could be done and he arranged for a salesman to come at 8:00 on Monday morning. I was impressed with Peter.

Rob… arrive promptly at 8:00 am on Monday and began inspecting our system and making pictures. He explained what would fit into my small hall closet and even brought up the Consumer Reports reliability rating on the Rheem AC equipment and compared it to a Trane (which I have in Tallahassee). He did a great job.

Rob arranged for installation of a complete system on Wednesday – the earliest date possible. Fortunately the old AC unit revived enough to cool on Tuesday and my renters were away on Wednesday. There was a little glitch that required attention after that, but it was quickly fixed and my renters did not complain.

As a customer of about 35 years I have always felt that Modern’s servicemen and salesmen were very good and efficient. But I believe Peter and Rob are exceptional. They did a great job for me when I had a real emergency and did so in an exemplary manner. I am very pleased with them and Modern Service.”

My AC/heater system was original equipment (1989) with fiberglass ducking board. The master bed room was always hotter than the other areas of the house.

Modern replaced all the ducking, up dated the registers and returns; and replaced the condenser and handler with a more efficent 2 speed model. They delivered at their quoted price and on time. Took three days in the heat of florida summer, the technicians were polite, clean and knowledgable.

Honestly I felt sorry for these guys, the heat in the attic was stifling. The house now cools evenly very quite (no clunks on or off and no rushing air noise and I recieved an $800 rebate from FPL. Have to wait a month or so to see what electrical savings I will get from the two speed condenser.

Very happy with everything. Recieved the quotation, everything else happened on time and with no suprises.

Modern provided our small business excellent service and responsiveness at one of our rental properties. Initially, we were not of the mind to replace the entire A/C system because we wanted to wait until the current tenant moved (9/30). The old system failed twice and Modern performed the service on both occasions. By the second call, we realized we had to have a new system rather than throw good money after bad.

We obtained three bids as always, Coastal Cooling, Inc., Core Air Air Conditioning and of course, Modern. Not only did Modern come in with the best pricing but they did credit us some of the money we had just spent on service calls/repairs. They also included many items which the other proposals didn’t even mention. Modern worked in a very professional & timely fashion, and even scheduled the county inspection for the following Monday. We were extremely pleased with their work.

They are a very great company.  They offer good service.  They always come within two or three hours after I call them.  If you don’t have enough money up-front, you can always pay it over three months.  They have no problems with that whatsoever.

Called on Wednesday and they set up an appointment for Friday. Service agent Jerry came at the appointed time. He was really great, very friendly. While he did the service check he showed us things we should know on how to do regular maintenance like changing the filter and what filter to buy. This was really great since we had just moved in a few months ago. He was very efficeent and was done in less than an hour. He accepted our coupon and gave us the discounted rate. We plan on calling them twice a year to better maintain our system.

I couldn’t be happier with the service I recieved from Modern. Ken provided a comprehensive evaluation of my system, assessed repairs that needed to be made, and presented a detailed comparison of new systems for my perusal. He was very knowledgeable of government and manufactuer incentives and ultimately earned both my confidence and my business. I purchased a new new, larger, energy-efficient system that was installed over the next few days by a large, professional, and courteous staff of technicians.

They were always on time, clean, swift, and amiable. I felt as though MODERN went out of their way to keep me informed of their progress and to ensure that I was comfortable. Our air conditioner system’s fan stopped running, therefore, the system would not cool the house. Called Modern for a service call. The service man came within hours. He informed me that the system needed to be replaced, but he did get the old fan running. I asked him many questions, and he patiently answered all of them. He was very professional and took as much time as needed to answer all my questions.

The next day, Keith, the heating and cooling engineer came to evaluate and make recommendations as to what size system and if additional duct work was needed. (All Modern employees wear booties over their shoes to keep your home clean. I like that!) Keith explained throughly about the size units they had, how much they would cost, and how much energy would be saved with a more efficient unit. He did not high pressure me to buy anything. Additional duct work was recommended because I complained that our den was warmer than the rest of the house. Keith was very professional, and he, too, answered all my questions no matter how many I asked!

I decided to hire Modern to replace our system. The charge for the service call was cancelled. A few days later the installers came. They were so professional and mannerly. The heat index was 105 degrees and the attic was extremely hot, but these men never complained! The crew chief even held open the door for me when I was unloading groceries from my car!

It was supposed to take two days to install the unit, but additional men were called to help finish in one day. With the hot, humid temperatures, I certainly appreciated this! I did find a small crack in my living room ceiling. Called to report report the damage to Modern. No questions asked. Modern sent a contractor within days to fix ceiling. They did a great job. I highly recommend this company!
